My wife and I visited the Hancock Shaker Village (it’s now a museum complex) last August and it was so mind blowing. The Shakers and other similar communities, such as the Oneida Comunity, are such an important party of American history but have been largely brushed under the rug due to their (highly successful) socialist communal organization.
