Some images from a collaboration with architect Nate Lentz + WAKA WAKA for the CLAE store on Pico between Fairfax and La Brea.
I stopped in Partners and Spade this weekend and saw a great display of amazing pieces by Rodrigo Nava. The pieces are 3-dimensional objects formed from welded sheet metal, in various shapes - all welded to be air-tight. He then fills the void with a combustible gas and ignites it, warping the shape in unexpected ways. The pieces are then blackened and waxed and look incredible. We all loved...
